Singer Burna Boy has won the award for Best International Act at the 2021 BET Awards show held last night at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles.

The singer beat fellow Nigerian, Wizkid, and Diamond Platnumz from Tanzania to the award.

This is the third win in the category for the “African Giant” singer who took home the award in 2019 and 2020.

Chris Brown won Best Male R&B and Pop Artist while the female edition was won by H.E.R.

Album of the Year went to Jazmine Sullivan for Heaux Tales, beating Nas, Meghan The Stallion and others.

Others nominated in the category are Aya Nakamura of France, Emicida of Brazil, Headie One of United Kingdom, Young T & Bugsey of United Kingdom and Youssopha of France.

The event was hosted by Hollywood actress Taraji P. Henson.
