Motorists and commuters have lamented over the bad condition of the Kuje-Pegi road in Kuje area council of the FCT.
They called for immediate rehabilitation of the road; stressing that its completion will improve security and commuting along that axis.
Eagles FM reporter, Toffa Momoh reports that Pegi community has been in the news in recent times due to the series of robbery attacks along the Kuje-Pegi road where residents were mostly abducted due to the poor condition of the road.
Mr Isaac Okoye, a commercial driver and member of National Union of Road Transport Workers who spoke to Eagles FM reporter said many lives had been lost to accidents because of the bad state of the road.
Mrs Ngozi Alfred, a motorist who plies the road often told our correspondent that armed robbers have now taken advantage of the pothole-ridden road to attack innocent motorists and passengers, dispossessing them of their valuables.
A motorist, Mrs Josephine Akoh, a resident of Pegi who works in Kuje Area Council Secretariat said she was forced to relocate to Kuje because of the hardship of plying the road.
Another motorist, who simply gave his name as Usman appealed to the government to assist by fixing the road without delay.
