The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has fixed Monday 12 December 2022 to Sunday 22 January 2022, February 18 for the collection of permanent voters cards (PVCs). National Commissioner and Chairman Information and Voter Education Committee of INEC Festus Okoye, in a statement said INEC finalised the procedure as well as the timetable for collection of PVCs at a retreat held in Lagos.
The House of Representatives has passed the budget of the Federal Capital Territory for the 2022 fiscal year. Residents of Bwari Area Council and some other areas in the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, Abuja have been plunged into total blackout over power failure. According to Reports, Bwari, Ushafa, Kubwa, Dutse-Alhaji, and other areas in the council were cut off from power supply since Sunday night without prior notice. The situation is said to have crippled some economic activities in the area council.
