Afrobeats super stars Davido and Wizkid have received nominations in three same categories of a sub-regional award festival slated to host its maiden edition in the US.
Davido and Wizkid were nominated for the ‘Afrobeats Artist of the Year’, ‘Male Artist of the Year’ and the ‘Ghana-Nigeria Artist of the Year’ at the sub-regional award ceremony.
The 2022 Ghana-Nigeria Music Awards Festival, is scheduled to take place at the Fox Theater houses in June and August 2022 in the U.S and UK respectively.
The festival aims at highlighting, celebrating and projecting deserving Ghanaian and Nigerian artists as well as facilitating a friendly environment for collaborations among the two countries.
Musicians, like Sarkodie, Stonebwoy, Kizz Daniel, Fireboy, Burna Boy, and several others, were also nominated in the said categories.
